Young in his MMA career but not in time spent perfecting his craft. The New Zealand MMA community has high hopes for CKB’s Mike ‘Blood’ Diamond.
He’s a two-time King in The Ring champion – a pathway taken by UFC stars Israel Adesanya and Dan Hooker who are both, former champions.
It’s certainly early days, but the elite level of striking Diamond possess won’t go un-noticed for long.
His teammate Carlos Ulberg (3-0) had the same record last year, when he was awarded a UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series programme after a spectacular KO.
Ulberg and teammate Kai Kara-France were last week added to Adesanya’s UFC 259 card.
A true product of the Auckland based fighter factory, ‘Blood’ Diamond will be hoping a big 2021 will end with him inking a UFC deal of his own.
